A Health Organization Current Jobs in Nigeria: Recruitment for 9 Job Positions

THE ORGANIZATION:

Under the auspices of the SIDHAS project whose objective is to reduce the burden of HIV/AIDS in targeted areas of Nigeria through strengthened delivery of high quality comprehensive HIV/AIDS services that are sustainable for long-term; MU-PACE leads the project efforts to promote pharmacy best practices by providing technical leadership in strengthening pharmacy systems and pharmacists’ capacity to provide quality HIV/AIDS, STI, and TB pharmacy services both at the health facility and community levels. We are hereby
seeking qualified candidates registered with Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) to fill the under listed positions.

POST TITLE:   Deputy Project Director

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The purpose of this senior management position is to provide support to the Country Director for the overall management, leadership and technical guidance within Nigeria,
  • He/She will among other activities provide both technical and management leadership and support the strengthening of pharmacy systems in Nigeria.
JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENT STANDARDS:
  • B.Pharm and MSc or Ph.D in Clinical Pharmacy or similar degree with 10-12 years relevant experience,
  • 5-6 years should be in international development programs including 5 years of supervisory experience.

POST TITLE:   Associate Director, Technical

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Associate Director (Technical) will provide technical leadership and expertise support in strengthening pharmacy systems, 
  • He/She will report to the Deputy Project Director.
JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENT STANDARDS:
  • B.Pharm/PharmD and MSc or Ph. D in Clinical Pharmacy or similar degrees with 8-10 years relevant experience, 3-4 years should be in international development programs and includes 3-5 years of supervisory experience.

POST TITLE:   Associate Director, Management

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Associate Director (Management) will provide oversight, coordination, monitoring and reporting of all activities in the country and will report to the Deputy Project Director.
JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENT STANDARDS:
  • B.Pharm/PharmD and M.Sc or Ph.D or similar degrees in public health, management or related field with 8-10 years with relevant experience, 3-4 years should be in international pharmacy development programs and includes 3-5 years of supervisory experience.

POST TITLE:   Senior Pharmacy Manager

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Senior Pharmacy Manager will provide leadership in strengthening pharmacy systems in Nigeria in a sustainable and integrated manner,
  • He/She will provide sound technical assistance and guidance to the Senior Pharmacy Specialists in the zonal and state offices,
  • He/She will report to the Associate Director (Technical).
JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENT STANDARDS:
  • B.Pharm and MS in Clinical Pharmacy with 5-7 years relevant experience with international pharmacy development programs which include 3-5 years of supervisory experience.

POST TITLE:   Senior Pharmacy Specialist

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • The Senior Pharmacy Specialist will provide technical support in strengthening pharmacy systems and pharmacists’ capacity on pharmacy best practices and quality pharmaceutical care in the area of PMTCT, ART, TB care and reproductive health in the Stales Ministries of Health (SMOH),
  • He/She will report to the Associate Directors and Zonal Manager.
JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENT STANDARDS:
  • B.Pharrn and 3-6 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS with international pharmacy development programs; or B.Pharm plus M.Sc/MPH in public health or related field, and 2-5 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS with international development programs; or Ph.D in Clinical Pharmacy, or similar degree with 1-2 years relevant experience in  HIV/AIDS with international development programs.

POST TITLE:   Pharmacy Specialist

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Pharmacy Specialist will provide technical and programmatic support to the implement the integration of quality care and support activities with primary focus on pharmaceutical care in HIV/AIDS, Anti-retroviral therapy (ART) treatment Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS, and TB, 
  • S/he will support capacity building to the pharmacy staff to implement quality services in these areas,
  • S/he will report to the Senior Pharmacy Specialist and the Zonal Manager in the zonal office.
JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENT STANDARDS:
  • B.Pharm and 2 – 4 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS with international pharmacy development programs; or B.Pharm plus MS/MA in public health or related field, and 1 – 2 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS with international development programs.

POST TITLE:   Finance Manager

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Finance Manager will be responsible for accounting and finance and overall administration for HUPACE Nigeria and will ensure compliance with the contractual requirements of the project with the objective of providing professional accountancy services consistent with generally accepted accounting principles,
  • He/She will report to the Country Director.
JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENT STANDARDS:
  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance or related field, and 7 – 9 years combined experience in accounting/budgeting management; or MS/MA/MB A with 5 – 7 years combined experience in accounting/budgeting management ACCA, CIMA Certified Public Account (CPA) or other professional accreditation preferred.

POST TITLE:   Administrative / Human Resources Officer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Administrative/Human Resources Officer will be responsible for providing administrative, secretarial and logistical support to the organization.
  • S/he will maintain an efficient inventory record and storage management of office supplies.
  • S/he shall provide operational support to implement effective functional Human Resources (HR) processes for HU PACE Nigeria team, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, HRIS and training including processing salaries and bonuses plus employee benefits, such as pensions, life assurance, and medical insurance packages. The position holder will report to the Associate Director Management.
JOB MINIMUM REQUIREMENT STANDARDS:
  • B.SS/BA in Business Administration, Social Science or related field; and 5 – 7 years relevant experience; sound knowledge of record management; application of MS Office package and good communication and writing skills are required.

JOB CIRCUMSTANCE:
  • The job involves at least 30% local travel at short notice,
  • HU-PACE has a competitive compensation package,
  • All positions require the ability to use key computing applications and knowledge of different database (For e.g. MS Office Suit (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access etc.); DHIS or LAMIS a plus,
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English,
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Willingness to extend working hours to meet deadlines and at short notice,
  • Ability to function effectively in multi-disciplinary teams to produce excellent results under pressure.
