Society for Family Health (SFH) Current Jobs in Nigeria: Recruitment for 4 Job Positions

POST TITLE:   Territorial Manager (6 vacancies)

JOB LOCATIONS: (Ibadan, Benin, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Kaduna and Sokoto)

JOB PROFILE:
  • This is a Manager/Senior Manager position reporting to the Deputy Director, Field Operations,
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the translation, planning, coordination and execution of all SFH field based program activities and product sales and distribution in the assigned territory which cover two to three States,
  • The position will also lead advocacy efforts towards creating an enabling environment for SFH interventions in the territory, and will meet regularly with government officials and heads of Civil Society Organisations,
  • He/SHe will ensure the equitable distribution of resources in line with approved budgets and work  plans to facilitate the achievement of programme/project goals, 
  • The position will monitor progress against work plans/outputs and provide analytical reports on the progress of interventions, activities and sales in the territory,
  • The position will be responsible for financial management, human resource management as well as ensuring adequate administrative support for staff in the territory and also support Programme Managers in the preparation and the conduct of external reviews of programmes.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Academic/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
  • First degree in Social/Medical/Biological/Behavioural Sciences from a recognized institution,
  • Masters degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage,
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in implementing public health programmes in an NGO environment, of which at least 3 should have been in a leadership position,
  • Must be a seasoned leader with experience in public health programme development and management, with proven ability to translate strategic plans into operational plans,
  • Must be able to facilitate cross synergy of all SFH programmes including sales and distribution activities in the territory,
  • Must be able to establish positive relationships with government agencies like State Agency Committee on AIDS (SAGA), State AIDS/STD Control Programme (SASCP), Reproductive Health (RH) Units, State Malaria Control Programmes, media, etc and other stakeholders,
  • Must possess budgeting and financial management skills,
  • Must understand the culture and traditions of people in the territory,
  • Must have a high sense of responsibility and integrity and drive for continuous learning and knowledge sharing,
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and function effectively as a team member and as the supervisor of a large team.

POST TITLE:   Manager, Project Office (Owerri)

JOB PROFILE:
  • This is a Deputy Manager/Manager position, reporting to the Deputy Director, Field Operations,
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of all programmes activities in the area,
  • The position will lead advocacy efforts towards creating an enabling environment for SFH interventions and coordinate activities of the support service units in the field,
  • The successful candidate will also be required to manage all human resource activities and project assets in the location.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Academic/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
  • First degree in Social/Medical/Biological/Behavioural Sciences from a recognized institution.
  • Masters in Public Health or in a relevant field will be an added advantage,
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in leading the implementation of public health programmes in an NGO environment,
  • Must be able to establish positive relationships with government agencies like State Agency Committee on AIDS (SACA), State AIDS/STD Control Programme (SASCP), Reproductive Health (RH) Units, State Malaria Control,
  • Programmes, media, etc and other stakeholders,
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills,

POST TITLE:   ENR State Programme Manager (Nassarawa)

JOB PROFILE:
  • This is a full Manager position reporting to the Deputy Director, Enhancing Nigeria
  • Response to HIV/AIDS (ENR) Programme. The successful candidate will offer Technical
  • Assistance in areas of strategic Organisational Development to the state Agency Committee on Aids (SACA) and the states HIV/AIDS response. The successful candidate would also be required to mange all the SFH Human recourse activities and also manage the ENR assets in the location. S/He must have knowledge of ongoing and emerging issues in relation to HIV&AIDS prevention and care. Must be a seasoned leader with experience in HIV/AIDS programme development and management.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Academic/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
  • First degree in Social/Medical/Biological/Behavioural Sciences from a recognized institution,
  • Masters degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage,
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in implementing public health programmes in an NGO environment, of which at least 3 should have been in a leadership position,
  • Must be familiar with DFID, USAID and the International donor community,
  • Must have experience in planning and facilitation of training for different cadres of staff,
  • Must have very good oral and written communication skills,
  • Must possess advanced financial and human resource management skills and experience,
  • Advanced skills and experience in organisational  development and  aligning organisational vision, mission, and goal to strategy, structure and systems,
  • Excellent communication , advocacy, organisational, networking and interpersonal skills,
  • Must have skills and experience of capacity building of government and Civil society organisations,
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues around HIV infection,
  • Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain compatibility among State Agency Committee on AIDS (SACA) /Local Government Committee on AIDS (LACA) staff, project staff, subcontractors, consultants, and recipients of assistance,
  • Well developed written and oral communication skills.

POST TITLE:   Senior Officer, Monitoring and Evaluation ENR (Ogun)


JOB PROFILE:
  • Reporting to the State Programme Manager, the successful candidate will provide strategic and operational support to the ENR HIV M&E strategy at the state level;
  • The strategic and operation support to the ENR HIV M&E strategy at the state level;
  • The candidates will also provide strategic technical assistance to the State Agency Committee on AIDS (SACA) and wider State Reponse on theories, strategies and approaches for monitoring and evaluation at the state level;
  • At an operational level, he/she will support the implementation of ENR M&E activities, providing direct support to Organisations (CSOs) grantees and other state actors in implementing various approaches outlined in ENR M&E strategy and national and state Finally, 
  • He/She will also support improved availability and use of monitoring, evaluation and surveillance data for programme planning, evaluation, and policy advocacy at state level.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Academic/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
  • Minimum of a University Degree in Demography, Public Health Epidemiology or Biostatistics /Statistics with at least three (3) years experience. A Master Degree is an added advantage;
  • Proven experience in STI/H1V related surveillance and/or research;
  • Some experience in implementing the NNRIMS systems for data collation and use;
  • Some experience in writing research for publications and presenting research findings to public health and policy specialists, as well as to the media and the general public;
  • Experience in planning and facilitation of training for different cadres of staff, good oral and written comprehension skills;
  • Ability to work with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and either SPSS or STATA;
  • Knowledge of DHIS, Microsoft Access or other design and data entry software will be of added advantage;
  • Sound skills in analysing, synthesising, documenting and presenting results of epidemiologic and behavioural research in the field of HIV/AIDS and STIs;
  • Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain compatibility among SACA/ LACA staff, project staff, CSOs, subcontractors, consultants, and recipients of assistance;
  • Strong capacity building skills and willingness to train and,
  • Well developed written and oral communication skills.
