An Oil and Gas Company Current Jobs in Nigeria: Recruitment for Sales Manager, (West Africa), Senior Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer

JOB VACANCIES:

Our Client, a leading global provider of products and services to the Oil and Gas Power industries that offers solutions for production, processing, compression and aftermarket parts and services out of Lagos, Port Harcourt and Warri, is looking for outstanding, purpose-driven professionals to occupy the following vacant positions:

POST TITLE:   Sales Manager, West Africa

JOB LOCATION:   Lagos or Port Harcourt

TERRITORIES: Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast and other countries of the Gulf of Guinea.

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Regions Manager West Africa, the Sales Manager. West Africa shall manage sales activities and ensure account manager coverage for all accounts within the assigned territories. Domestic and some international travel are required.

TARGET CLIENTS:

Primary (End user market) – Major and mid-size oil and gas producers, pipeline companies, underground storage companies, unconventional gas companies. Secondary (EPC) – Engineering companies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include:
  • Responsibility for identifying target clients and sales opportunities and developing those opportunities all the way through to successful contract award in line with sales targets,
  • Assist in proposal development by identifying proposal themes, “selling points” or strategies and preparing various components such as executive summaries,
  • Communicate market intelligence with both Product Development and Manufacturing to provide input into pricing,
  • Monitor the competition and report actions and trends to management,
  • Create a strategic business plan for Primary and Secondary Target Clients and develop sales plans and strategy for active and potential pursuits,
  • Analyze market conditions and coordinate pricing strategies,
  • Compile periodic safes report showing sales volume, win-loss records, and market penetration.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline; plus minimum eight (8) years proven technical sales experience in oil and gas equipment, products, services and solutions,
  • Sales or proposals experience in Oil and Gas or Energy related industry,
  • Good technical background which could include experience in oil and gas manufacturing, rotating equipment OEM. Process package supplier, engineering,
  • Understanding of the market supply chain is essential,
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and able to work autonomously,
  • Able to communicate in English and French.

POST TITLE:   Senior Sales Engineer (Compression, Production and Processing)

JOB LOCATION: Lagos

TERRITORIES: Lagos, Port Harcourt and Warri

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Sales Engineer shall identify and define the needs and challenges of customers in the areas of gas compression, oil and gas production and processing, and produced water treatment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  
 
Responsibilities shall Include:
  • Identify target clients and sales opportunities and develop those opportunities all the way through to successful contract award in line with sales targets,
  • Plan and prioritize sales activities with, particular focus on contacting and visiting new clients to secure new business,
  • Work closely with projects, engineering, and production departments, and asset teams of assigned clients,
  • Prepare weekly activity plans and updates for senior managers and monitor and analyze market conditions in Nigeria and report trends and activities,
  • Prepare sales report and forecasts and participate in weekly sales meetings.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline; plus minimum eight (8) years proven technical sales experience in oil field equipment,
  • Background could include oil and gas facilities, rotating equipment OEM, process package supplier, engineering company,
  • Knowledge of oil and gas production equipment, gas compression and processing, and produced water treatment,
  • Proposals experience in Oil and Gas or Energy related industry and strong sales focus,
  • Interpersonal communication skills, listening and presentation skills,
  • IT Skills (Proficiency in the use of Microsoft word. Outlook, Excel, SharePoint).

POST TITLE:   Sales Engineer(After market services and power generation)

JOB LOCATION:  Port Harcourt

TERRITORIES: Lagos, Port Harcourt and Warri

JOB SUMMARY:

The Sales Engineer shall identify and define customers aftermarket (OEM spare parts, overhauls, repairs, operation and maintenance, and training) and power generation needs and challenges and work with applications and proposals teams to recommend and propose solutions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities shall include:
  • Identify target clients and sales opportunities and develop those opportunities all the way through to successful contract award in line with sales targets,
  • Plan and prioritize sales activities with particular focus on contacting and visiting new clients to secure new business,
  • Work closely with projects, engineering, and production departments, and asset teams of assigned clients,
  • Organize and participate in client presentations in line with corporate templates,
  • Prepare weekly activity plans and updates for senior managers and monitor and analyze market conditions in Nigeria and report trends and activities,
  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts, and participate in weekly sales meetings.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline; plus minimum five (5) years proven technical sales experience in oil field and power generation equipment,
  • Background could include oil and gas manufacturing company, rotating equipment OEM, process package supplier, engineering company,
  • Knowledge of Waukesha and CAT gas engines parts, Ariel and Dresser-Rand compressor parts, power generators, gas turbines and control systems,
  • Strong sales focus,
  • Proposals experience in Oil and Gas or Energy related industry and strong sales focus,
  • Interpersonal communication skills, listening and presentation skills and negotiation Skills,
  • I.T. Skills (Proficiency in the use of Microsoft word. Outlook, Excel, SharePoint).

Remuneration for each position is very competitive by industry standards.
