A Real Estate Firm Current Jobs in Nigeria: Recruitment for Facilities Manager

THE ORGANIZATION: 

We are a reputable College with extensive land and well-developed real estate in the heart of Lagos.

We now have the intent to consolidate and effectively coordinate the management and maintenance of these facilities and are, therefore, looking for a professional with practical competencies in Facilities Management.

The Facilities Manager will be involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations, particularly in relation to buildings, and the premises in the college.

The position will attract a very competitive salary package and will come with a subsidized accommodation within the premises.

POST TITLE:   Facilities Manager

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering,
  • Certificate in facilities Management.
JOB EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience facilities maintenance and management,
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite software.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assess the current state of all buildings, electrical, air conditioning, boreholes, generators, plumbing and other essential facilities and equipment,
  • Draw up and implement a corrective maintenance program for all buildings and equipment in the college,
  • Draw up a preventive maintenance program for all buildings and equipment in the college,
  • Maintain accurate records of the condition of buildings, equipment and other systems in the college,
  • Ensure the safety of buildings and other facilities from fire, flood and other hazards,
  • Recruit facilities service staff and train them appropriately to ensure competent work output,
  • Coordinate with other offices or unit in the college,
  • Manage projects, supervise and coordinate the work of contractors,
  • Calculate and compare costs for required goods and services to achieve maximum value for funds,
  • Direct and plan essential services such as Security, Maintenance, Cleaning, Landscaping and Waste Disposal,
  • Plan best allocation of space and resources in line with the approved Master Plan for the college,
  • Coordinate and manage the rental of halls and spaces in the college as directed by the Board of Governors or its designate,
  • Grounds maintenance and horticulture,
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and urgent issues as they arise.
