Heartland Alliance for Human Needs and Human Rights Current Jobs in Nigeria: Program Advisor, Accountant, Case Manager/Social Worker (Kano),

THE ORGANIZATION:

Heartland Alliance for Human Needs and Human Rights, an American serviced based human right organization working in Nigeria since 2007, is currently recruiting  to fill the  positions in Kano State for USAID funded HIV/AIDS program in Nigeria, targeting highly marginalized and most at risk populations with HIV prevention, care and support services. Candidates must meet the minimum qualification listed below and  must be  committed to human rights, regardless of age, ethnicity, class, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or other  social reference. Candidates must be will to work with diverse
population in a supportive and accepting manner.

POST TITLE:   Program Advisor (Kano)

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Applicants should have advance degree in Public Health, Management, Medicine or,
  • Nursing Experience in project design, implementation, M&E and report writing,
  • Supervisory experience in Health program management,
  • At least 5 years experience working on USG or other funded health projects,
  • Experience working in collaboration with local partner NGOs or CSOs,
  • Experience in HIV/AIDS advocacy, prevention and or care is and added advantage,
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills.

POST TITLE:   Accountant

JOB LOCATION: Kano
  • Applicants should have Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field At least 2 years experience in Accounting Familiarity with Microsoft Excel required Payroll management a plus.

POST TITLE:   Case Manager/Social Worker

JOB LOCATION: Kano

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor degree in Social Work, Nursing or related field,
  • At least two years clinical experience e as a social worker / nurse Strong skills in record keeping, developing and updating client case files and tracking client progress
  • Experience providing community based care and support services for individual living with HIV/AIDS is a plus,
  • Able to provide compassionate care in a supportive and non-judgmental manner.
